To make shipping more climatefriendly, Everllence is focusing on the development of innovative engines that can be powered by methanol. To this end, a new methanol tank facility has been built that meets the highest standards of safety, precision, and automation. Endress+Hauser supplies the appropriate measurement technology for all relevant measuring points – from filling and storage to distribution.

The challenge
The new methanol tank facility at Everllence must operate reliably under extreme safety requirements – fully automated and without manual intervention. Precise measurements under ATEX conditions, from level to temperature, are essential for the continuous supply of the test benches with climate-friendly methanol. Early fire detection, permanent inerting, and safe monitoring of the double-walled tank are particularly critical.

The methanol tank facility requires a comprehensive safety concept – from level monitoring to temperature measurement. Endress+Hauser developed a solution that meets all requirements: SIL-certified sensors, Heartbeat Technology for self-monitoring, and Bluetooth access for maintenance without entering the hazardous area. Precise measurements and a uniform operating concept ensure maximum safety and efficiency – even under demanding conditions.
